WELCOME TO RESOLVED COUNSELING

At Resolved Counseling we want you to feel better as soon as possible. We believe that reducing or eliminating symptoms can be accomplished in as little or as much time as you  want, depending on how much work you put into it. The approach we use is designed to teach you tools that you can use to feel better quickly. This does not mean the change you feel is superficial. Profound shifts, at the gut level, are possible once we've established a trusting relationship, uncovered and resolved your ambivalence about feeling better, and found the right tools for you.

This approach, called TEAM-CBT, can be used to treat many different problems and symptoms, but our specialties are low self-esteem, anxiety disorders, relationship issues and grief.

Examples of the types of clients we see are:

  • Young adults feeling stuck and "falling behind"

  • Parents weighed down by responsibilities who are feeling disconnected from themselves

  • Men & women in midlife going through changes in their marriage and health

  • People at any age questioning their purpose and feeling bored or like they're not meeting their potential

  • Couples committed to each other but struggling to feel close or resolve conflicts.

Imagine, for a minute, that it were possible to feel completely different about yourself and your life without changing anything in your circumstances- not your job, your spouse, your kids, your weight, your body or your money. Would you want that? How would you like to feel? Would you feel reluctant to accept certain aspects of yourself or your life?  What would you be willing to do and how hard would you be willing to work to feel better? If you are intrigued, read more here, or reach out to explore these questions further.

Obviously we can't guarantee that our approach will be a miracle cure- it might not be the best path for you, but the approach and tools we're trained in can be highly effective if you want to create a new mindset and you're willing to do the work. We've seen it happen before our very eyes.

How We Work

Evidence-based, compassionate care

Healing anxiety, depression, and burnout isn’t about “just thinking positive.” It’s about understanding how your thoughts, nervous system, and body all interact—and learning to respond to people and situations differently.

Our work together blends:

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
To identify the thoughts and beliefs that fuel anxiety, hopelessness, and exhaustion—and practice new ways of thinking that feel more true and empowering.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT)
To help you make space for difficult emotions without letting them run your life—and connect to the values that give you purpose.

Mind-Body Integration
To understand how chronic stress affects your body and learn tools to regulate your nervous system, restore energy, and feel steady again.

Practical Action Steps
To move beyond insight and into real change, with small, sustainable actions that rebuild trust in yourself.

You won’t be expected to figure this out alone. Therapy here is collaborative, supportive, and grounded in the belief that you are not broken—you have learned ways of coping and adapting to your environment that, though rooted in beautiful values, have become less helpful and are holding you back.

About Us

We’re Elizabeth and William, a husband-and-wife team of counselors who share a passion for helping people get unstuck and live more joyful lives. We believe healing happens best in an atmosphere of trust and curiosity.

When we’re not working, you’ll find us playing music (badly), watching old movies about "simpler times", or driving to a distant natural food store in search of some specialty item.

Together, we bring a blend of experience, humor, and hope to the work of transformation.
